On SM, Ram Madhavji statement being tweeted multiple times.
Why does RSS guys go and make unwanted statements??
The wording in SM circulated clip he uses : We stopped buying oil, we didnot object to 50% tariffs etc.
A more nuanced would have been The government of India stopped buying oil fro Iran and later from Russia
Now he is giving clarifications
Why do we need such unnecessay issues??

"India agreed to stop buying oil from Iran. We agreed to stop buying oil from Russia despite so much criticism from our opposition. India agreed to a 50% tariff without saying too much. So where exactly is India not doing enough to work with America?" questions Ram Madhav

Ram Madhav@rammadhav_

What I said was wrong. India didn’t agree to stopping import of oil from Russia anytime. Also it vigorously protested 50 percent tariff imposition. I was trying to make a limited counterpoint to d other panellist. But factually incorrect. My apologies.

from where do such scum come from

It is ALWAYS during critical elections that these idiots find their loud voices

who told him to go to the hudson institute just to kiss some amriki ass, where was the need to speak such lies

the goras wined and dined him and then got him to say what he said, it appears that the mere sight of a white simply floors gavars like him

this is way beyond disgusting...... and borders on wilful treachery

Breaking News: Most Wanted Drug Lord Deported From Turkey To India Over Narco-Terror Links
In a major operation by Indian intelligence agencies, a most wanted drug lord and close associate of a global terrorist has been deported from Turkey to India. The accused, who operated a transnational synthetic drug syndicate, was recently apprehended in Istanbul following an Interpol Red Corner Notice issued by the Narcotics Control Bureau. After initially fleeing from Mumbai to Dubai and securing a forged passport, the fugitive relocated to Istanbul to evade law enforcement. From there, the drug kingpin continued to channel illicit drug money to an underworld syndicate to fund narco-terror activities. Following his detention by Turkish authorities, top officials from Indian agencies travelled to Istanbul and brought the fugitive back to the Delhi Technical Airport in a special jet. The accused is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau or the Mumbai Police for further legal proceedings. This international collaboration marks a significant crackdown on drug mafias targeting the country.

HUGE India Launches Massive Hunt for Criminals Abroad

India has started a powerful new operation called "Operation Global Hunt" to catch over 100 big criminals hiding in different countries.

First big success: A close helper of wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim, named Salim Dola, has been caught in Turkey and brought back to India! Now no place is safe for such criminals.

India is coming after them strongly!

Utterly shameful…, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has arrived at the temple of democracy-the Punjab Legislative Assembly, completely intoxicated with alcohol.

This man goes to the temple after drinking, used to come to the Lok Sabha after drinking, goes to government meetings after drinking and drank so much abroad that he was allegedly deplaned.

Before the elections, he had placed his hand on his mother's head and declared that he would never drink alcohol again.

The CM of a sensitive border state like Punjab stays intoxicated all the time... signs files while under the influence..

CM Mann should undergo a dope/ alcohol test and if found guilty, he should be removed from the CM position.

x posted from the elections thread.

This is the nadir to which the commies, the congis and mumtaz bano have collectively brought Indian democracy to, while entitled mafioso swan around in the parliament, brandishing a copy of the samvidhan, kept ever at the ready, in their breast pockets

The levels of repeated pre and post poll violence, including the brutality, and savagery of targeted voter intimidation in bano's regime, has been unprecedented in free India. The only ones who even came close were the murderous commies, and this modus operandi had to have come from some medieval jihadi playbook

ECI Gyanesh Kumar Ji has invoked Article 324 to keep 700 CAPF companies in Bengal even after counting & entire TMC ecosystem asking 'Why'?

Here's answer to 'Why' & Measures declared today by @ECISVEEP to curb any post-poll vi0£ence.

2021-after counting- as taken note by HC

•There was Organized, widespread and targeted vi0£ence based on political affiliation across multiple districts following the Assembly elections in 2021.

• Complicity of the police and the persons in power, in the vi0£ence which erupted after polling and declaration of the result in the 2021 Assembly Elections.

• Enquiry Committee of the National Human Rights Commission from DGP West Bengal reported - 1934 incidents including, murder (29), sexual assault (12), grievous hurt (391), arson/vandalism (940) and intimidation (562). 9304 persons were accused and only 1345 arrested

• Court appointed fact-finding Committee report reported 52 murders and 11 r@pe cases. 3,384 complaints forwarded by the Committee to the State, there was no response in about 1,000 such complaints.

• Spot visit by Enquiry Committee found that in 60% of cases, FIRs were not registered.

• Over 15,000 victims were reported, with additional victims approaching enquiry teams.

• Calcutta High Court observed that civil or police administration is under the control of the Election Commission during the process of elections only to ensure free and fair elections. That does not mean that the police stops discharging its normal duties to control law and order.

The Court observed that the situation reflects breakdown of rule of law with indications of organized violence and systemic nexus.

Victims were targeted for political affiliation and coerced through threats, forced allegiance or displacement.

PS: None of this is my write-up or cooked-up stories, but observations & notings of Honorable Calcutta HC.

Latest order by ECI to put final nail to not allow any Post-poll Vi0£ence this time incl to ensure Free & Fair Counting.

1. 700 companies of CAPF will continue to remain in WB to ensure to keep control over any kind of post-poll vi0£ence.

2. Strict vigil around Counting Centres by CAPF/Police parties.

3. Control Rooms to be set up at ECI HQs & CEO WB office to continuously monitor the situation on Counting Day and direct immediate action in case of any untoward incident.

4. Entry of unauthorised persons into Counting Centres to be prevented by issuing QR code based Photo Identity Cards to election officials/candidates & counting agents etc.

5. Strict action will be taken against anyone who found to involve in any attempt of vi0£nece as per the law.

6. Any such information about any attempt of vi0£ece or any unlawful activities may also be immediately reported through given helpline number.

7. Special strict vigil in the vulnerable pockets with history of any vi0£ence.

This is being done in the wake of poll-related vi0£ence in the earlier elections in West Bengal and Court petitions.

Note that these companies to stay put even if BJP comes to power as TMC has 'system' set up over 15-yrs & new BJP Govt is not going to find it easy to take control immediately.

Now there's only one way for TMC to stop ECI— Appeal against this order in Supreme Court.

SC will ask it to file affidavit promising not a single post-poll vi0£ence incident. This will be more problematic for TMC as even 1 incident will attract Contempt of Court.

On top of it TMC has a new history of losing every appeal in SC in past few months.

Great Nicobar Project: FAQs

The Great Nicobar Project is a strategic initiative to strengthen India's presence in the Andaman Sea. It seeks to balance port-led growth with calibrated environmental safeguards. Protection of indigenous communities remains central to its planning. The project combines strategic, economic, and ecological priorities. This ensures that development is sustainable, inclusive, and aligned with national interests.

The following FAQs provide an understanding of the key aspects of the project:

-Does the Great Nicobar Island Project serve a clear strategic and national purpose?

The Great Nicobar Island Project is a project of strategic, defence, and national importance, undertaken after due diligence and careful consideration. It is of critical national security and strategic significance. The project will substantially strengthen India's presence in the Andaman Sea and Southeast Asia, enhance maritime and defence capabilities, and integrate the island with global trade and logistics networks. It will also establish a major international transshipment terminal with distinct locational advantages over competing ports in the Bay of Bengal region, positioning India as a key economic and strategic hub.

-Is the project well-planned, feasible, and designed with long-term impact in mind?

The environmental impact of the project has been assessed in a detailed and multi-tiered manner in accordance with the Environment Impact Assessment Notification, 2006 and Coastal Regulation Zone Notification, 2019, wherein due consideration has been given to the ecological sensitivity and biodiversity value of the island. Based on such assessment, a robust Environmental Management Plan, along with stringent and enforceable conditions, has been prescribed to avoid, minimise and mitigate any potential impacts.

RBI Brings Back 104 Tonnes Of Gold From London Amid Global Uncertainty
https://www.businessworld.in/article/rb ... nty-605070

In a significant shift in reserve management strategy, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has repatriated 104.23 metric tonnes of gold from London to domestic vaults during the half-year ending March 2026, marking one of the largest such transfers in decades.

The move comes at a time of heightened global volatility, signalling a strategic effort by the central bank to reduce dependence on overseas custodians and strengthen domestic control over critical reserves.

Data shows that gold held within India rose from 511.99 metric tonnes in March 2025 to 575.82 metric tonnes by September 2025, before increasing further following the latest repatriation.

Until September 2025, around 290.37 metric tonnes of India’s gold reserves were held with institutions such as the Bank of England and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). A substantial portion of this has now been moved back to India as part of the RBI’s revised approach.

The report also highlights a sharp increase in gold’s share within the country’s foreign exchange reserves, rising to 16.7 per cent in March 2026 from 13.92 per cent six months earlier. This increase has been supported by a rally in global gold prices, enhancing the valuation of existing holdings.

Cross posting from Island Territories thread
Control Malacca or be controlled: Great Nicobar and the Chola lesson for today’s Bharat
https://www.firstpost.com/opinion/great ... 07019.html

A thousand years ago, Rajendra Chola I, one of the greatest emperors of his time, answered that question with steel, strategy, and ships. He did what would have seemed impossible in his age: sending an armada across 4,000 km of open ocean to strike the Srivijaya kingdom in Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula. This had not been done in the past and could only be replicated about five centuries later by the rising European powers.

The Strait of Malacca was then what it remains today — the beating artery of global commerce. Whoever controlled that narrow channel between Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula controlled the flow of the world trade, and by extension global wealth.

Rajendra Chola understood this a thousand years ago. He knew trade routes were not passive spaces of exchange. They were arenas of power. Whoever controls chokepoints controls commerce. Whoever controls commerce shapes history.

Today’s Bharat does not need to come up with a new strategy. It just needs to remember what it has always known, historically and civilisationally, but has refused to acknowledge and follow.

Scripting history in #NewAndamans continues. This morning, another #GuinnessWorldRecord was created- The Tallest Human Stack underwater.
In addition to #Mega #Infrastructure #Projects like #InternationalContainerTranshipmentTerminal, New #GreenfieldAirports etc, the thrust on transforming #Hospitality and #Tourism sector continues, especially to position and brand the Islands as a premier global Scuba diving destination.

This evening, extremely delighted to have had the opportunity to take part in Kamban Vizha 2026 in Colombo.

The Ramayana remains an eternal source of wisdom, illuminating the path of dharma for generations. Through the Kamba Ramayanam, Poet Kamban had transformed this sacred epic into a work of unparalleled literary grace.

Had the privilege of reflecting on the timeless truths of the Kamba Ramayanam before an august gathering of eminent Tamil scholars and dignitaries.

Extending my heartfelt gratitude to Kambavarithi Ilangai Jeyaraj ayya for an evening enriched by the elegance of our Tamil language.

I have two Medha Patkar stories.
At the height of Narmada dam agitation, the Greens had a meeting at a place at Grand Road (don't remember the address). The setting was simple for the cameras, yet the Greens were serving her expensive bottled water and gourmet food. A sharp contrast to the cause she claimed to represent.
I once went to her house (guess Chembur) and her assistant guided me from front entrance - a stage - old furniture, a single fan, the image of a humble servant of the people. But the back entrance? Fancy, exclusive, and reserved only for a select few.
The back door always tells the real story.
