Remember Bundelkhand?
It used to be synonymous with drought. Every few months, newspapers would carry the same pictures: women walking miles under the scorching sun with a ghada on their heads, a child in their godi, cracked earth stretching to the horizon, and editorials declaring yet another water crisis.
Bundelkhand has largely disappeared from the national news cycle nowadays. Wonder why? I'll tell you. Because solving a problem is less newsworthy than endlessly talking about it.
Thousands of households that once depended on distant water sources now have tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission. The daily ritual of spending hours fetching water is being replaced by something most urban Indians take for granted, turning a tap and getting water. Women have gained time, children spend more time in school, and entire villages have been freed from a burden they carried for generations.
And it doesn't stop there.
A region once discussed only in the context of scarcity is now attracting tourism investment. Mahoba is getting a ₹24.98 crore cultural and heritage tourism project, while the district recorded nearly 28 lakh visitors in a year. A place that once symbolized drought is now being positioned as a destination for heritage, tourism, and economic activity.
This is why Bundelkhand no longer dominates headlines. The pictures of women carrying water pots make for powerful journalism. The pictures of water coming out of taps don't. But for the people living there, the second picture matters far more.

INDIA - OMAN : ENDURING TIES / LT GEN P R SHANKAR
Oman is an important ME nation with friendly ties of India which goes back centuries old. They once owned Gwadar region and wanted India to own the area, however the ever screwball Neverwho left it for the Pukes. Oman supplies gas and oil to India, one version of oil is heavy like the Venezeulan kind. Oman also has chrome, copper, cobalt, titanium and other ores in plenty. The Duqm port in Oman is used by the Indian Navy. P R Shankar paints a positive picture and Modiji is cultivating good ties with both Oman and UAE.

BREAKING NEWS (5th June 2026)
The President of India has just made a new tax rule today.
From now on, big foreign investors and the Bank for International Settlements (a global bank) will NOT have to pay any Indian tax on:
• Interest they earn from Indian government bonds
• Any profit they make by buying and selling these bonds
This tax-free benefit starts from 1st April 2026 (backdated).
Why is this important?
This move is expected to bring more foreign money into Indian government bonds. It will make it easier and more attractive for global investors to invest in India.
Simple and clear rule – no tax on government bond income and profits for these foreign players.
Full official document (2 pages) is attached
Good news for the Indian bond market!

Not looking like the SOV-400. So this is the design of P76,
https://x.com/TheMilObserverr/status/20 ... 8967284050
@TheMilObserverr
India just handed L&T the blueprint for its first fully indigenous submarine.
Project 76 could become the country's first fully indigenous conventional submarine.
PM Modi personally presented the scale model of Project 76 to L&T marking a major milestone for a programme that gives India complete control over design and development.
And here is what this submarine will actually be.
• Around 3,000 tonnes, roughly 50 percent larger than the Kalvari class
• Indigenous Air Independent Propulsion system developed by DRDO
• Hybrid endurance combining fuel cell AIP and lithium-ion batteries
• Vertical Launch System for cruise missiles and land attack capability
• Can remain submerged for extended periods during low speed patrols
• Design phase targeted for completion by end of 2026
• First submarine projected within 6 to 7 years
India's indigenous AIP fuel cell module is already scheduled for sea trials aboard INS Khanderi in 2026.
That means key technologies are moving beyond the laboratory and into operational testing.
Project 75I spent years struggling with foreign dependency, technology transfer issues and repeated delays.
Project 76 is built around a different idea.
India owns the design.
India builds the submarine.
India controls the upgrade path.
That is how long term naval power is built.

Little skeptical of these. Hope this is correct. Many of the assembled componentes could be passed off as Made in India. There is a need to put tax on Chinese imports. It must not be done in one shot but in batches. Every month few percentage hike is necessary on imported Chinese products to help domestic manufacturing to gain scale and capture global market.

500,000 illegal OBC certificates suspended
CPIM, TMC unconstitutionally added around 161 castes in OBC list. Of these only 4 were Hindu castes; rest 157 were all Muslim.
But 20,000 Muslims who got jobs via this order to stay, says SC
Sourav Kumar Mishra explains how the CPM and then TMC tried everything to mariginalise Bengali Hindus and turn Bengal into Bangladesh.
In 2010, when the CPIM government realised they were going to lose the 2011 assembly elections, the communists added 42 castes into the OBC list. This was done unconstitutionally without any surveys. Among these 42 castes, there was only one Hindu caste; the rest 41 were Muslim.
In 2011, when Mamata Banerjee's TMC came to power, instead of cancelling the order, they doubled down and added 77 castes in the OBC list. Of these, just 2 were Hindu castes, and 75 were Muslim.
Later, the TMC added another 42 castes into the OBC list. Of these, just 3 were Hindus, the rest were all Muslim.
Ordinary citizens like Amal Chandra Das and Nilmadhab Karmakar filed PILs to protect the rights of Hindus.
The High Court cancelled the new additions into the OBC list. In response, the TMC decided to waste the public's money and appealed in the Supreme Court. The apex court upheld the HC order.
However, the Supreme Court gave respite to 20,000 (99% Muslim) employees who got jobs via the CPIM and TMC's illegal orders.
That means 20,000 deserving Hindus were deprived of Government jobs because of the Muslim appeasement policy of the CPIM and TMC.
These 20,000 undeserving employees who illegally entered the system continue to hold their jobs.

Interesting story:
• Bhagwant Mann govt claimed Punjab was ranked No. 1 in education in a NITI Aayog report.
• Aaj Tak reported the same claim.
• Kejriwal then amplified it, saying Aaj Tak is reporting that Punjab had become No. 1.
• Later, people fact-checked the claim and found that the AAP was taking credit for old data and presenting it as a new achievement.
• After the fact-checks, Aaj Tak deleted its tweet.
National media often reports whatever the Punjab govt’s toolkit pushes. You know why
The same reason they didn’t reports Punjab govt’s lathi-charge on students in Patiala.

I do feel that PM is almost blind about India's defence capability and the kind of breakthrough tech that we have. I do strongly belive that PM don't have the kind of information that he requires to give the go ahead for many Niche technology areas, otherwise in Unmanned Ground vehicles I don't think 11 years must have been wasted just like that.

What about the others like DM and Army leadership and Defense secretaries? Why can't we identify talent/capabilities and nurture them?uddu wrote: ↑07 Jun 2026 21:37 I do feel that PM is almost blind about India's defence capability and the kind of breakthrough tech that we have. Re: Modi 3.0 - Bharat
Other than in the Army, the babudom will be almost clueless as well. The once famous Sam quote of those who could not differentiate a Mortar and Motor stands true even today.
"I wonder whether those of our political masters who have been put in charge of the defence of the country can distinguish a mortar from a motor; a gun from a howitzer; a guerrilla from a gorilla, although a great many resemble the latter."
Sam Manekshaw
Re: Modi 3.0 - Bharat
Guys come on it is not the PM or even the DM's job to babysit every little R&D project. Babu's job is to make things happen financially once the professionals come up with the requirements. It is the job of the Armed forces to come up with requirements and scientific advisor, DRDO chief to evaluate in-house capability. PM and DM will set policy direction that is it. They don't need to understand mortar, guerrilla etc. There is CDS, Chiefs, NSA with their staff. The professionals need to step up and contribute to the Nations indigenous capabilities. Army needs to evaluate weapon requirement based on doctrine. They don't have to fancy every social media post to think of a new weapon system. Things take time and even though we are a democracy, not every defense capability will be announced to the public. Let us not belittle the armed forces and their sincerity. There are bad apples in few places, but most of them are professionals. The proof of the pudding is when they conduct operations. They managed the Chinese in 2020 and came out blazing in Op Sindoor. So overall their bet on certain type of weapons worked as anticipated. We cannot compare our forces with the Pakis or Chinese. Those guys can only spread positive propaganda news and nothing else. Again we can see their propaganda in paper has no use in real operation.
Re: Modi 3.0 - Bharat
Yes, what happened to flying test bed for Kaveri and other basic test facilities. The Babus blocked them and made sure we kept running from pillar to post to do basic testing. There are so many examples the lucchabuddhi Babu never sanctions adequate funds. They don't sanction monies for basics like training the folks in HAL/DRDO, every attempt to provide perks to R&D folks is thwarted by these 1 exam wonder boys/girls. These examples are aplenty and there is no need to defend the babu.
When you have changing requirements that are added in last moment, things change and timelines slip. This is again basic program mgmt. Lockheed for example, with all its prowess, aims for the 80:20 rule, the top 80% requirements are first met and the later 20% are added later, which takes time, some never. Does the IAF understand such things, answer is NO. Blame has to be spread to those who don't contribute much but become loud mouthed in demands.
Re: Modi 3.0 - Bharat
In Saudi Arabia, two Indian brothers, Mohammad Rahib and Mohammad Jafar, were taken into custody on charges of treason for sending donations to Iran.
The elderly father has appealed to the Foreign Minister to help his arrested sons.
These people think that the kind of freedom there is in India exists in all countries of the world too.
In India, they hurl abuses at the Prime Minister, talk about breaking the country into pieces, speak of separating the North East states—nothing happens to them.
In Saudi Arabia, they gave a donation to the Iranian embassy, and immediately the Saudi Arabian government was alerted through the banking system, and the police picked them up and threw them in jail.
standard appeal to the GoI, asking the MEA to get them out. These guys want sharia and they got it in saudi

Kolkata Metro work was stalled for 15 years.
The only reason was that if the metro project had been completed, Narendra Modi would have inaugurated it, and Mamata Banerjee did not want that. Because the central government is building it.
Yes, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, which was Metro's rail line, had to build a bypass over a bypass, but that required a 15-day traffic stoppage.
15 years ago, RVNL sent a letter to the local administration asking them to stop traffic for 15 days. The TMC government did not stop the traffic!
4 more letters were sent, but traffic was not stopped.
After that, RBNL had to approach the High Court. The HC immediately ordered the West Bengal government to halt traffic so that the Metro project could be completed.
But Mamata Banerjee's stubbornness led her to appeal the High Court's decision to the Supreme Court.
When the Supreme Court ruled that traffic must be halted for 15 days, Mamata Banerjee filed a review petition.
And most surprisingly, no media outlet even reported the dirty game being played in West Bengal just to prevent Modi from inaugurating the project.
Millions of people in her own state were wasting their time stuck in traffic jams, but Mamata Banerjee's pride was paramount.
Then came the elections, and this issue was widely discussed.
Then the Mamata government was gone, and a project that had been stalled for 15 years was completed in just 15 days.
That's why I say that India's opposition is the biggest enemy of the country's development.

"RSS should keep its registration documents ready," says Karnataka's newly appointed Home Minister Priyank Kharge after BJP questioned his appointment.
If an organisation that has worked for Hindu society for decades is being openly targeted, what message does it send about the this rate, if the RSS is banned tomorrow in Congress-ruled Karnataka, it should surprise no one. Such remarks only strengthen concerns that ideological targeting has become a priority over governance.
Hindus who voted for Congress must reflect on where this trajectory leads and stand firmly with organizations that work for Hindu society and its interests.

The 4,000-year-old Sinauli chariot, excavated in 2018 from the ancient burial site of Sinauli, stands among the most significant archaeological discoveries in recent decades.
Buried in a ceremonial grave and richly adorned with copper, the chariot reflects the sophistication of ourished around 2000–1900 BCE. Crafted from wood and sheathed in copper sheets, it features two solid wheels mounted on a fixed axle and connected to a yoke by a central shaft. The wheels are embellished with striking copper triangular inlays arranged in concentric circles, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship.
Its semi-circular seat is supported by a framework of copper pipes, while the front structure rises into a distinctive canopy-like form. Excavations at Sinauli also uncovered copper weapons, shields, helmets, and other elite grave goods, underscoring the site's importance as a ceremonial and martial center.
