I was under the impression that there was a photo with the paki air marshall meeting SG and MMS (at a state dinner perhaps).
That is an official photo. How do you obtain that accidentally? Searching for "South Asians in Uniform"?
All the people in that photo are prominent. Who exactly did they think the paki officer to be?

Search for 'air chief marshal'. He's on the first page. But the first pic I get is of Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major. Is this former PAF chief an Indian mole ? Is it some kind of indirect signal to pakis ?

Exactly - and some clever clod would have found an archive of fauji photos and decided that this one looks good enough. This is exactly like the pharmaceutucal company brochures promoting drugs that are as potent as fighter aircraft and more often than not some American image is there on the brochure. Dumb company rep making dumb doctor thing great things are happening using firangi images because both sides are dumb "Ek fauji" indeed.Jagan wrote:Sandeep Unnithan has a theory he posted on facebook

Nishant crashlands
Bangarpet/Bangalore, Jan 29, DH News Service:
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Nishant, which was on a test flight, crashlanded in an agricultural land at Chikkatumutagiri in Bangarpet taluk on Friday following technical problem.
.....
In Bangalore, a DRDO spokesperson denied that the UAV had crashlanded. However, he confirmed that the UAV was the advanced version of Nishant.
Spokesperson Jayaprakash maintained that the wings of the UAV were slightly damaged when the aircraft landed on an uneven ground. "The area where the UAV landed was earmarked for emergency landings and it landed using a parachute. The villagers assumed it was a crash," he claimed.
He also said that there was no significant damage and that the aircraft was going to be used again.
Rahul M wrote:the nishant, like many other UAV's, IS designed to come down by parachute but you can't expect DDM to know that. they make it sound as if DRDO is lying when it says it didn't crashland.

For heavy lifting too, India only has clunky old Mi-17s and Mi-26s. Last year, the Army did put out a request for information on 12 heavy lift helicopters, including the latest Mi-17s and Boeing Chinooks, but the process is likely to take at least three years before they are inducted. Meanwhile, the Army may have to depend on indigenously made Dhruv choppers, which aren’t world class.

And have a look at this
In cases such as these, there is need for a joint operation with helicopter forces and artillery—there is a need to command the area, not cordon it

Even after getting the response of Admiral where he mentioned submarines, he is still writing Scorpene missiles. On the delay in Scorpene series missiles, the Navy chief said his force was looking for a second line of production for the submarine, as there "is a requirement for upping speed" of construction.

The drone of 3 Idiots could now serve Army, NSG
I admit I am only a commerece student, but are the basics of physics so difficult to understand.Weighing 1.5 kg, and having a payload capacity of 300 kg, Netra -- originally called Zeppelin and subsequently Carbon -- can perform Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) operations. It can fly in a radius of 1.5 km at altitudes of over 100 m, for 30 minutes per battery charge. Each unit costs between Rs 18 lakh and 20 lakh, but the price is expected to drop once it is manufactured in larger numbers.
The UAV is fitted with a high resolution 2.5X zoom camera, which can be panned and tilted. It beams real-time live aerial images, and can record the footage. An in-built fail-safe mechanism ensures the UAV returns to its home position in case of loss of communication or low battery.

Keeps saying MP 5 rifle everywhere. But the best part comes here.
Some smart person decided to copy the first paragraph from Wiki and then update it with superior knowledge to include the word 'rifle'.The MP5 rifle (Maschinenpistole 5 in German - "machine pistol model 5") is a 9mm submachine gun of German design, developed in the 1960s by a team of engineers from the German small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K) of Oberndorf am Neckar in erstwhile West Germany.

The other two are an assault rifle and a carbine variant.

MiG 29 K Induction
Damn! We should have got this one instead of the old K version.
MiG 29 K Induction
Wonder who are part of this 'elite' club. I guess the MiG 29 is completely invisible to the human eye even! Take that PAK-FA fanboys! With the induction of the advanced aircraft, the Indian Navy would join an elite club of navies across the world who have the MiG-29K aircraft in operation.
B for Bravo. K stands for?Captain Ahuja also explained that there are lot of differences between the MiG-29 B (Bravo) that the India Air Force (IAF) has been using and the MiG-29K , which is to be inducted into the Indian Navy.
Which MiG 29 is this now?The MiG-29 is equipped with anti-aircraft 'Beyond Visaul Range Missiles, guided Anti-Ship Missiles, 'smart' guided-bombs and rockets that are more lethal and better than the old MiG-29 K's armaments.

Always thought that American aircraft carriers use catapult to launch aircraft but 'arrested recovery' method using wires for landing but our DDM thinks otherwise"The STOBAR system will help arrest both the LCAs and the Mig-29Ks safely," he said.
He said that India is the second country in the world to have a 'wire arresting' system, besides Ukraine. American aircraft carriers carry out such operations by using a 'catapult' system, he added.
