The question is who will bail the cat.Muppalla wrote:Eventhough I am depressed, I have hope that the Red Menace will be countered with the required force by GOI. Most of these incedents actually will make the hawks against Maoists ( MMS, Chidu and Pranab da) stronger in the government. Maoists are doing a mistake in their war against Chidambaram. There are neither pressures from Uncle nor MMS is from China before 1947 and hence no WKK-ism with respect to China. India will fight it out but we will see loss of commoners in the next few years.
All these terrains are not that impossible to fight. IA has fought more worse in Nagaland even during early 60s. India will defeat this internal enemy.
We need someone like SS Ray or KPS Gil etc to do the needful and be the fall guy when convenient. Punjab police personnel are/were being hounded by HRA.

Those who don't play braveheart, butter up , go up in hierarchy and history is rewritten for them to glorify their illustrious career.

There are many , whose service before self , has brought peace in Punjab. We don't remember them now. Even GOI would not support. The courts and civil admin , who were cowering and cringing before the onslaught of terrorists, became custodian of human rights. When things go terribly wrong, many things happen. but one should not lose sight of wider objectives. Persons in uniform could very well have looked the other way, but they chose to do otherwise. Same is true of any person in uniform, from whom country expects supreme sacrifice, only to be forgotten later, many families get ruined with no succor coming.
So why do we expect that these mighty arms of India would take on maoists when politicians and intellectuals and bureaucrats etc play their orgy of effeminate action. Do they inspire confidence that once duty is done in the service of the people of this country, they would be ( or their families afterward) be treated fairly and not hounded by HRA.
Remember extraordinary maladies demand extraordinary treatment.
ps:I just followed k movement and how it was crushed. No connection to land of five rivers or whatever. Yet a part of my country being bled with thousand cuts, I did feel the anguish, still feel the pangs.
