Zaid Hamid’s wife leaves him
The great ‘hate speaker’ on TV in Pakistan, Zaid Hamid was quoted by daily Express as saying that
he and his wife had begun to disagree as a result of which they had parted, but it had nothing to do with his relationship with the false prophet Yusuf Kazzab because his wife had left him only recently and Yusuf had been killed in jail a long time ago. He said Yusuf Kazzab had ruhani ilm (spiritual knowledge) like Ashfaq Ahmad, Prof Rafiq Akhtar, and Wasif Ali Wasif, but Yusuf had crossed the limit (apay se bahar).
He said he had fought in Afghanistan as a jihadi to which air force MM Alam was witness.
ISI supports terrorists
Daily Jang reported that the Punjab government had revealed that the basic reason for terrorists not getting punished was the army’s refusal to let its officers testify and the ISI’s protection of the terrorists. In the cases of attack on the army bus and the killing of General Mushtaq the accused were kept in custody for a year after which no witnesses from the army were coming forward.
Why Abdul Qadir hates America
Famous columnist Abdul Qadir Hasan wrote in Express that one reason he hated America or got out of hand (bay-lagaam ho jata hun) could be that he has never been invited by the Americans to visit America. It is quite possible that since America never once offered to buy his loyalty, he is put off, he wrote. Everybody in the media was bought by the US.
Clerics happy over terrorism?
Writing in Jang Nazir Naji speculated that the ulema and clerics of Pakistan could actually be happy in secret that Data Darbar was attacked by the terrorists. According to him this attack might prostrate the government who could then request the clergy to take over Pakistan and run it according to their lights. It is quite possible that some religious leaders could be sending the message to the terrorists: carry on, the moment of victory (fatah mubin) is near.
Drop the Kashmir issue!
Daily Jang quoted
prime minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider as saying that Pakistan should set aside the Kashmir dispute with its status quo and sort out other problems with India. He said he had advised the Pakistan government that it should extend to India the Most Favoured Nation under the WTO. In daily Nawa-e-Waqt Chief Editor Majid Nizami said that Kashmir had to be taken with force of arm (zor bazu) but the bazu (arm) of Pakistan had become weak. (Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider has since been replaced.)
Terrorists of Ahmadi massacre held
Reported in Jang the Lahore police had arrested a dozen terrorists from Lahore who had attacked the Qadianis in the city killing a hundred of them. Large quantity of weapons including explosives and anti-aircraft rockets were discovered.
The mastermind of the attack on Ahmadis was also held. Daily Jang abstained from naming the Punjabi terrorists and their organisations but daily Pakistan (5 July 2010) reported that they belonged to the banned Harkat Jihad Islami and Fazal Mehsud Group. According to daily Waqt, Punjab was home to 217 banned terrorist organisations with 4,000 men working for them. (Commissioner Lahore declared the Qadianis were killed by India and America. He declared that Data Darbar too was attacked by India.)
Leave terror, catch ‘mujra’!
Reported in Jinnah the Sahiwal police,
freshly trained against terrorism, successfully completed their commando mission of catching dancing girls
doing what they triumphantly claimed as mujra. It was the birthday of a Q League politician who was kosher for attack under an N League government. The dancers were led by a dancing girl Saira Khan.
The police acting like the Peshawar police, who caught a bunch of khusras after being trained to fight terrorism, gave evidence of limitless bravery.
They also confiscated all the cars and motorbikes parked outside the cinema. The terrorists who are true Muslims watched the derring-do against immorality with great appreciation.
Justice Khwaja Sharif and Black Water
Quoted in daily Waqt
Chief Justice of the Lahore Court while pursuing a suo motu case in relation to the bombing of Data Darbar in Lahore advised the police to pursue inquiry against Blackwater, the American company which was being named in reports. {He is the pro-jihadi Chief Justice} Nawa-e-Waqt (6 July 2010) quoted chief of Jamaat Islami Syed Munawwar Hasan that the Data Darbar bombing was carried out by Blackwater.
It also quoted Hafiz Said of Jamaatud Dawa that Blackwater had done the deed, after reporting that while banning 67 renamed terrorist organisations, the Punjab government had made an exception for Jamaatud Dawa.
Justice Khwaja Sharif speaks again
Quoted in Nawa-e-Waqt Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Justice Khwaja Sharif told a gathering at the Judicial Complex at Sambrial that the judges will dispense justice without caring for their lives.
He said Pakistan’s atom bomb was opposed by the yuhud and nasara (Jews and Christians). He said conspiracies being hatched against Pakistan will have to be countered.
‘Hatha-Pai’ in IRSA over water
Reported in Nawa-e-Waqt delegates at the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) went into a clinch (hatha-pai) after acting chairman Shafqat Masud ordered the Chashma Canal open for irrigation in Punjab. Sindh and Punjab are divided over the issue.
The federal representative started exchange of blows with acting chairman after the decision.
