Re: India-Russia: News & Analysis

Completely off topic. This is a type of test for crowd sourcing of information. I met a very interesting elderly Russian who recalled being, as a young man, on the set of Pardesi when Nargis was involved in an accident with a pyrotechnical device. In fact he recalled both Raj Kapoor and Nargis; and ...

Perhaps they would like India to treat its Muslims as Pakistan treats its Hindus.

Re: Nepal and Bhutan News and discussion

The fact is Nepal would be an average country in Africa. Per capita GDP, literacy, infant mortality. Only less industrialised. Bangladesh has twice the per capita income. So the Nepalis are Hindus and buddhists. The only thing that means is that they are in even greater shame. Indians have nothing a...

Thus, Pakistan’s ‘counter-escalation’ moves have neutralised to a considerable extent the US efforts to hurt Pakistan with the threatened financial and security costs. Thus, the coercive diplomacy alone isn’t going to help the US’s Afghanistan fiasco. There is a need for adopting a “more flexible d...

I was hoping not to have to belabour the obvious. When the usual cast of characters demonstrates for Khalistan, a counter protest singing patriotic songs only serves to legitimise them.

Indians definitely need to develop succinct communication skills. Not everything requires a garrulous explication.
