BREAKING: Election Commission of India To Rollout SIR Pan India Soon | Bihar SIR

BREAKING: Election Commission of India To Rollout SIR Pan India Soon | Bihar SIR

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to roll out the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across the country soon, following its recent execution in Bihar ahead of crucial state elections. The pan-India SIR exercise aims to cleanse voter lists by removing ineligible entries, duplicates, deceased voters, and non-citizens, while ensuring no eligible citizen is left out. This massive door-to-door enumeration and verification process will involve voters submitting signed enumeration forms, in some cases without supporting documents, with the final rolls expected by early 2026.

The move follows the ECI’s directive in June 2025 and a recent meeting of Chief Electoral Officers from all states and Union Territories to finalize the operational details. The Commission plans to rationalize polling stations and upload updated rolls on CEO websites to enhance transparency and accessibility. While the Election Commission maintains the revision is a constitutional mandate crucial for fair elections, opposition parties have criticized it as potentially disenfranchising sections of voters, underscoring the political sensitivity surrounding SIR’s pan-India implementation.

India called out ‘ill-informed’ Swiss claimed at UNHRC; asked to focus on Racism, Xenophobia at home.
At the 5th Meeting- 60th Session of Human Rights Council, Indian Diplomat Kshitij Tyagi said, “We would also like to respond to the surprising, shallow and ill-informed remarks made by Switzerland, a close friend and partner. As it holds the UNHRC presidency, it is all the more important for Switzerland to avoid wasting the council's time with narratives that are blatantly false and do not do justice to the reality of India. Instead, it should focus on its own challenges such as racism, systematic discrimination and xenophobia. As the world's largest, most diverse and vibrant democracy, with a civilizational embrace of pluralism, India remains ready to help Switzerland address these concerns.” .

Praise the lord! He is alive! Per Kharge, RaGa took bullets to his chest and sacrificed his life, but arose from the dead to become the YOUTH leader. What's the difference in a name Rajiv, Rahul, Indira? All are interchangeable Gandhis for this bootlicker, no? FYI for Kharge - Indira got shot with bullets, Rajiv got blown up (no bullets) and Rahul claimed he had killed himself (don't know by what means) and that he is not Rahul anymore. :D

Today you see anarchy in Nepal.

But pause and think, wasn’t the same script attempted in India?

CAA riots, Farmers’ blockade, “GoBackModi,” BBC drama. These endless protests weren't organic.

It was imported chaos, designed to keep Bharat weak.

Only one man stood in between Modi.

They aren’t against him.

They’re against you.

He's just protecting you.

How Gyan Bharatam Keeps Bharat’s Spirit Alive
In his Independence Day speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the Gyan Bharatam Mission, under which over one crore manuscripts are being located, preserved, and digitised. Guided by five pillars—preservation, digitisation, capacity-building, research, and outreach—the mission creates a national digital repository, keeping alive the spirit of Bharat’s culture.

all valid points chetak sir, but outrage farming on sm cares little for facts and figures, do not deny that there is an inherent anti-modi bias, but my point was more along the lines of how ai can be used to create fake and outrage inducing videos with no one able to check it in time, though sanjayc ji has the following suggestion:
sanjayc wrote: 07 Sep 2025 16:41 A law is needed to force video creators to compulsorily label an AI generated video as such. Pushing a video like this in public domain without identifying it as AI should be punishable.

now that there is the ai video of the pm and his deceased mother, perhaps the goi can look into the matter more closely before it ends up losing the bihar election to such shennanigans

some excellent work being done, my only gripe is with the media constantly referring it to a "gift"; if after so many years of independence, availability of basic infra is considered a gift and not a right, then they need to get their heads checked, yes, the previous governments ignored this region quite callously, but these are not gifts, they are legitimate investments for the benefit and upliftment of the people

Despite the heavy rain, PM decided to reach the venue by road so that he could interact with the people, even though it was 1.5 hours away by road.
