Talking of British legacy, Indian government should stop asking for husband's name for a woman (and father's name for a man) when she is a major. Way back when my wife applied for a passport it was sent back because she did not send no objection certificate from her husband (i.e. me) and I did not have a passport. I do not know if they still require it. So I also applied and got both the passports. Air India too used to ask for father's name (for men) and husband's name for married women - all this for frequent flier no. They stopped it after I sent them an email about it.
I do not know if you are in UK they ask you about your father's/husband's name in any application (in the USA it is not done)

In three days, Vladimir Putin will arrive in New Delhi for his first visit in four years and the first since the Ukraine war began. Major announcements are expected as both sides seek a successful summit. Coverage will focus on defence ties: Russia pushing RELOS ratification to deepen logistics cooperation, and India reopening talks on Su-57 fighters and S-500 air‑defence systems. The pact could enable shared bases, refuelling, repairs, and Arctic energy cooperation while expanding Russian reach in the Indian Ocean. New Delhi aims to balance longstanding ties with strategic diversification.

The three "envoys" each from a country with a deeply ingrained colonial mindset, have jointly penned the vacuous article below.

note that it is published in the toilet, an appropriate vehicle for their journalistic vandalism.

these white turds have no business to tread on India's sovereignty, by misusing the freedoms available to them in India and the fact that they have presumed to advise India on her geopolitical options with a friendly third country, while each of the three nations these envoys represent have only fuelled the fire on the russia ukr war by wantonly providing money, intelligence and weapons to zelinsky, instead of taking constructive steps at their end to advise ukr to back off.

These guys are hell bent on fighting russia to the last ukrainian

If they had not pushed russia (by breaking a signed agreement not to expand the borders of NATO) by expanding the boundaries of NATO and maliciously crowding russia, this deliberately manufactured and slyly triggered war would never had taken place

It is a case of physician(s), heal thyself. It is clearly mentioned in their own book, Luke 4:23, which they choose to disregard

They are being led by the nose by robber baron amrikis and their MICs, so very eager to profit from the war

This interference in India's internal affairs is not only unwarranted but also crosses many red lines of civilized diplomatic procedures and protocols.

Kanwal Sibal@KanwalSibal

This vicious article against Russia just before Putin’s state visit to India breaches diplomatic norms, is a diplomatic insult to India as it questions India’s close ties with a very friendly third country.

It is interference in our internal affairs as the purpose is to fuel anti- Russian sentiments in pro- European circles in India and question the morality of our ties with Russia.

The envoys of these three countries are free to make their views known to the MEA in an official demarche but are not supposed to engage in public grandstanding with an overt propagandist intent.

It is entirely wrong of ToI to accept to publish this article. This is consciously doing dis- service to our diplomacy and national interest.

MEA should express its displeasure publicly at this violation of diplomatic norms by the three envoys.

Times of India has been slyly publishing articles by Western professors every Sunday in its "Times Evok" section to build their thought leadership among Indians and magnify credibility of Western universities, so that Indians remain in thrall of them and keep sending their kids to them for admissions. Western embassies seem to have a paid arrangement with this rag for publishing their drivel, but toilet paper doesn't reveal the paid arrangement to its readers

She said the ones that bark are inside the Parliament meaning MPs are dogs. She forgot the fact that there are Muslim MPs in parliament as well and its Haram for them.

@PadmajaJoshi
This is not AI. Rajya Sabha MP pretends to bark when asked about possible privilege motion against her. She’s being investigated for getting a stray dog into parliament compound.
