Talking of British legacy, Indian government should stop asking for husband's name for a woman (and father's name for a man) when she is a major. Way back when my wife applied for a passport it was sent back because she did not send no objection certificate from her husband (i.e. me) and I did not have a passport. I do not know if they still require it. So I also applied and got both the passports. Air India too used to ask for father's name (for men) and husband's name for married women - all this for frequent flier no. They stopped it after I sent them an email about it.
I do not know if you are in UK they ask you about your father's/husband's name in any application (in the USA it is not done)

Russia Moves To Deploy Troops, Warplanes In India Ahead Of Modi-Putin Meet | Military Arrangement
Just days ahead of the high-stakes Modi-Putin Summit, Russia has moved to fast-track a landmark military arrangement that will allow deployment of Russian forces and assets inside India, and, in return, Indian forces on Russian territory.

RELOS
Putin's India Visit: Defence, Su-57 and S-500 Talks On Agenda | Vantage With Palki Sharma | N18G
In three days, Vladimir Putin will arrive in New Delhi for his first visit in four years and the first since the Ukraine war began. Major announcements are expected as both sides seek a successful summit. Coverage will focus on defence ties: Russia pushing RELOS ratification to deepen logistics cooperation, and India reopening talks on Su-57 fighters and S-500 air‑defence systems. The pact could enable shared bases, refuelling, repairs, and Arctic energy cooperation while expanding Russian reach in the Indian Ocean. New Delhi aims to balance longstanding ties with strategic diversification.

The three "envoys" each from a country with a deeply ingrained colonial mindset, have jointly penned the vacuous article below.

note that it is published in the toilet, an appropriate vehicle for their journalistic vandalism.

these white turds have no business to tread on India's sovereignty, by misusing the freedoms available to them in India and the fact that they have presumed to advise India on her geopolitical options with a friendly third country, while each of the three nations these envoys represent have only fuelled the fire on the russia ukr war by wantonly providing money, intelligence and weapons to zelinsky, instead of taking constructive steps at their end to advise ukr to back off.

These guys are hell bent on fighting russia to the last ukrainian

If they had not pushed russia (by breaking a signed agreement not to expand the borders of NATO) by expanding the boundaries of NATO and maliciously crowding russia, this deliberately manufactured and slyly triggered war would never had taken place

It is a case of physician(s), heal thyself. It is clearly mentioned in their own book, Luke 4:23, which they choose to disregard

They are being led by the nose by robber baron amrikis and their MICs, so very eager to profit from the war

This interference in India's internal affairs is not only unwarranted but also crosses many red lines of civilized diplomatic procedures and protocols.

Image

Kanwal Sibal@KanwalSibal

This vicious article against Russia just before Putin’s state visit to India breaches diplomatic norms, is a diplomatic insult to India as it questions India’s close ties with a very friendly third country.

It is interference in our internal affairs as the purpose is to fuel anti- Russian sentiments in pro- European circles in India and question the morality of our ties with Russia.

The envoys of these three countries are free to make their views known to the MEA in an official demarche but are not supposed to engage in public grandstanding with an overt propagandist intent.

It is entirely wrong of ToI to accept to publish this article. This is consciously doing dis- service to our diplomacy and national interest.

MEA should express its displeasure publicly at this violation of diplomatic norms by the three envoys.

Times of India has been slyly publishing articles by Western professors every Sunday in its "Times Evok" section to build their thought leadership among Indians and magnify credibility of Western universities, so that Indians remain in thrall of them and keep sending their kids to them for admissions. Western embassies seem to have a paid arrangement with this rag for publishing their drivel, but toilet paper doesn't reveal the paid arrangement to its readers

Why Modi Used a Made-in-India Toyota for Putin—Not His BMW | Strategic Message to U.S. & Germany
During Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a deliberate and symbolic choice: instead of riding in his official German-made BMW limousine, he shared a Toyota Fortuner SUV—a Made-in-India vehicle—with Putin. This seemingly small gesture carries major geopolitical significance, signaling India’s willingness to pivot away from traditional Western alignments toward independent strategic partnerships.

The carpool diplomacy echoes Modi’s earlier ride with Putin in China’s Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, highlighting a deepening India-Russia relationship despite Western pressures, particularly from the U.S. over Russian oil imports. By choosing a Japanese-made vehicle manufactured in India over a Western luxury car, Modi subtly sends a message to Washington and Berlin: India prioritizes its national interests and will not succumb to external coercion.

This move reflects India’s careful balancing act between multiple geopolitical blocs, including BRICS, SCO, and the Quad, demonstrating that the country can pursue independent foreign policy decisions while maintaining critical partnerships. Putin called the ride “a symbol of our friendship,” underscoring mutual respect and cooperation.

As India hosts the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit on December 5, this Toyota gesture is more than transportation—it’s a strategic statement to the world about India’s sovereignty, autonomy, and growing influence on the global stage.

NATO and US perfidy and twisting of public opinion/referendum to their needs is time worn tactic.
Take the two examples of referendums:
1. KOSOVO : they jumped in and boimbed the hell out of Belgrade and Serbia even though 30% or more of population wanted to be in Serbia. Yes there were Serbian excesses and crimes against humanity, but during war who follows dharma except us and we get all the bad publicity. {Trueman's main reason to order bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was : Invasion of mainland Japan would cost US 260,000 lives or more (soldiers) so he ordred killing nearly three or four times that number!!}
And also they wanted to save the Muslim crowd. Now alsmost every Ummah coiuntry have sponsored and built huge mosques all over Kosovo. Like in India they are blocking roads and pavements to pray as well as in parks. Pill-boxes and postboxes are in full display. Kosovan young men were the highest in numbers volunteering for ISIS!!
2. UKRAINE: People in the East have overwhelmingly voted for independence and merging with Rus, but the west are rejecting that. On the day of Putin's visit to India Pee Pee Cee in full assault mode with public enquiry labelling Putinwa Morally reponsible for an accidental killing of a woman.
Wait for full disclosure of the agreements there will be a meltdown in the West. The government and the Russians have deliberately chosen to omit meetings with the LOP(who might be carrying messages from who knows to Putin to avoid making deals with India or face consequences!!)

It is about time Made-in-India Toyota for dignitaries is replaced with home grown motors like Tata or Mahindra. A state car like Russia'a Aurus Senat or the copied cadillac of Emperor can be made by them. Does not matter how many crores it costs, since India is inching upto #3 in the world. These are symbols and have resonance with onlookers of the world.

Didn’t they use a Range Rover in the past ? I am quite miffed that neither Tata nor Mahindra or Maruti took this by themselves, I think they are really DS assets with their global footprint. But then even at height of socialism neither PAL nor Ambassadors were that ambitious.

May be DRDO should have a competition in this regard and pick a local candidate

When fear dominates, wisdom makes a shy and reluctant appearance

mumtaz bano's communal politics has suddenly become calculatingly circumspect as the harsh ground reality of the SIR stares her in the face, even as the routed rohingyas take to their heels and the banished beedis decamp for safer climes

In a democracy, does she even have the aukat to "allow" the SIR, let alone questioning the authority of the SC and the ECI

“If we hadn’t allowed SIR, they would have imposed President’s Rule”-says Mamata Banerjee

'Ek taraf kuan, Ek taraf khai' for TMC Govt. It's losing its core voter base due to SIR & can't even stop it as it will be treated as 'Constitutional Breakdown' & President Rule can be imposed.

The appeasement or more so a 'Stockholm Syndrome' afflcits a large tracts of this nation.
I am sticking my neck out here and may get banned by the Mods or the post might get deleted.
Lack of strong ethno-regional kingdoms and dynasties which withstood the onslaught of the invaders has over hundreds of years dimmed the fires of nationalism in these areas.
One might argue that the rise of ethno-regional powers might stoke the fire of exclusiveness and separatism as you would expect but the reverse in true in our medieval states.
And by corollary, it has led to the sense of exclusiveness and separitism in those areas lacking strong ethno-regional kingdoms.
Take for example the Vijayanagara, Maratha and the Sikh Empires, they should have led to exclusiveness but instread they led to a strong sense of national identity preseving the land that is 'Bharat'
Now take the example of three states of modern India : Tamil Nadu, Kerala and West Bengal.( and before people start erupting about Palas and Cholas I talking about the Medieval times and more specifically advent of islam into the subcontinent)
In all these three states tbere is an underlying sense of Exclusiveness. And this is not limited only to the highly literate strata of the society but pervades a large sections of the society.
And this reflects in every action of the society.
You might argue that this is result of division of states on Linguistic Basis!
But apart from those three states named above you find little traction for this argument in other linguistic states.
One might say what about of Punjab or Marathi Manus.
Punjab was self inflicted wound by the Congress on the Nation in my humble opinion (which the Jihadis and west have used against us).
And Marathi Manus is the result of Vote Bank Politics again unleashed by Congress.
I have nothing against the three states personally.
And lastly Mods, if you feel that I have overstepped please let know and I am happy to correct.

Periyar TN, Punjab Khalistan - These are not accidents. They were deliberately created, nurtured and pushed on by British and local power hungry politicians in TN and Punjab. The Khalistan was hijacked by Pakis and US/UK/Canadian agencies for long time. I think we criticize Indira too much for Bhindranwale. The west used it to destroy her for 1971 defeat of Pakistan. They were happy to see her murdered. They are trying same now with Islamists (Qatar/US/UK/Paki lobby)

Now PAPPU is actively working with same forces abroad to make these issues bigger and bigger

India’s planned overhaul of NUCLEAR laws could UNLOCK up to $214 BILLION in new reactor, SMR and fuel-cycle projects.

India's government is amending the 1962 Atomic Energy Act to open the nuclear sector to private and foreign investment. This could enable $214 billion in projects for new reactors, small modular reactors (SMRs), and fuel facilities. The aim is to boost capacity from 8.8 GW to 100 GW by 2047, supporting clean energy goals. Bill may pass soon.

Massive, if it goes through as planned!

vijayk ji,

All three states you mention are border or frontline states infected by the very same virus, meaning the movement to prise the land away has the identical same roots as the god save the king mentality, these C of E protestant padres (WASP in amriki terminology) are running amok using locals and inculturation techniques to storm dharmic bastions and that includes the NE where the entire project of dharm partvarthan was protected, nourished and facilitated in secret and on the sly by the congis. neverwho, in his desperate quest for the nobel and the psychotic need for international recognition as a statesman, traitorously helped this process greatly by physically isolating the region from the heartland so that no one in the mainland knew what was happening there.

inner line permits and what not were enforced to keep the majority of Indians away from the NE. No one was allowed in and very few were allowed out of the NE states so that the padres and their culinary institute backers, funders and muscle worked their evil ways on the unsuspecting local populace and razzmatazzed the tribals.

It is only now that decent highways, railways, and airports have made their appearance.

The NE was a culinary institute playground from around 1945 to date.

The BIF goras have always wanted a large piece of the Indian pie and chose this route to achieve their ambitions. That is why all these states have port access and easily accessible borders where goras, material, drugs, guns and human trafficking was possible with just a nudge and wink to spread separatist ideologies.

This was the deliberate effort by the incoming amriki empire, successor to the defunct britshit empire, to create a abrahamic state and use that to hasten the balkanization of India. At the time, they were the sole and unchallenged super power and they wanted to shape the international arena as per their sole requirements and cement what they thought was their birth right to "export democracy" and to create a global order which ensured that their belief systems transcended and dominated all others, they wanted to grab energy and other material resources and monopolize international trade and call the shots globally using their patented brand of coercive geopolitics

and then came the cold war............, later followed by used car salesman nixon and that prized idiot kissinger, who needlessly and very foolishly unleashed a dormant cheen, which then stealthily and slyly, snaked its way almost to the top of the geopolitical food chain, where its venomous coils have all but strangled the amrikis geopolitically and geo-economically, stifled their growth story by shutting down their growth engines and tanked their dollar while giving it the status of used toilet paper

Back home, Ker was already jihadi infected, moplah riots were a harbinger of things to come, TN was under the sway of the caldwell cohorts, and that silly but diabolically designed brainwashing narrative filled with this dravidian generated nonsense of the aryan fairy tale is dominating the narrative in TN even today. The local politicos kept the congis out of TN and now they are desperate to keep the BJP out because they do not want scrutiny of their filthy deeds by people whose nationalistic allegiance is centred in dilli or even outside the political borders of TN.

The LTTE movement and India's IPKF efforts to quell the eelam fire lit in TN was seen as a lanka centric agenda but in reality it was meant to rouse the separatist movement in TN and wrest it away from India. Again note that they chose Indian territory that had clear cut sea access

These were all BIF movements to balkanize India and are still active in terms of funding, diplomatic support and weaponized drug and human trafficking

The very same caldwell cohorts are active in punjab and have converted huge numbers of locals to padre ruled enclaves but one doubts if things will work out in the way that they are hoping it will.

The farmer's agitation, dilli riots, the manipulated 2024 elections which helped the eyetaalian clown to become the LOP, the massive levels of beedi and rohingya "migration" and unchecked influx of these culturally invasive scum are all indicators of the very serious efforts to unseat the nationalist govt and bring in a stand up comedian like papooze

The dharmic forces are slowly closing in and that is why the mamamia mafioso famiglia has panicked which means that the ecosystem supporting them has begun to unravel

each of the states that you mentioned have been chosen a long while ago by the BIF to spearhead the balkanization of Bharat by exploiting and also creating newer fault lines and buttressing the existing ones. The urgency now is that Modi is operating on a global stage and op Sindoor has showed the goras that India is no pushover.

Into this toxic mess, the jihadis, largely funded by the likes of qatar in particular, have jumped in with both feet, but the fact of the matter is that papooze and his soreass like backers, including the jihadis have been seriously exposed and the aam jantha, to a large extent, is now aware of their machinations. Because many got fooled by congi generated fake messages in 2024, and voted for the congis, they now feel a little guilty for having doubted Modi ji and reduced his majority, and that guilt has generated some amount of stronger support for the BJP in state elections.

The RSS stepped in thereafter and successfully repaired the breach and restored status quo ante to a large extent.

That is why there is serious angst and strong FFNGO led pushback against the RSS and other like minded organizations by the entire abrahamic ecosystem which simply cannot mount a challenge to counter these dedicated cadres.

The congis, commies, naxals, wokes, and regional parties with communal and caste dominated vote banks have felt the effects of the dharmic domination of the RSS and the effect this organization has had on the decisive decimation of such vote banks

That is why papooze and his many illegitimate FFNGO gora fathers, terrified of the RSS, all keep screaming "RSS, RSS....." from the rooftops, desperately hoping that some one somewhere bans them

This late blooming dharmic awakening is not at all to the liking of the BIF on a global stage

Old and jaded icons of one sided sickularism, like neverwho and ghundhy, were soundly trashed by many speakers during the discussions on Vande Mataram in the Indian parliament yesterday

Doordarshan's Suprabhatam now features a daily Sanskrit proverb to promote culture and wisdom, praised by PM Modi.

Reading all the debate in LS about SIR, CEC, EVM ityadi looks like only way for Looters is the old style Paper Ballot.
And they know that there is no other alternative but wholesale rigging to regain power.
In all this why is the Government still treating the NeverWho progeny with kid gloves.
RaGa's citizenship is going nowhere.
Mama's inclusion in the voter list before she became a citizen will be mothballed and brought every Dusheera and Deepavali for a 'Muh Dekane ke Rasam'

To people who keep complaining that the present dispensation has not done enough vis-a-vis distortion of history, anti-hindu narrative, downgrading of Sanatan Dharma yada yada
One thing I have noticed about is slow and steady mainstreaming of perfidy of the main protogonists duing the freedom struggle.
Slowly but surely things about NeverWho and tbe 'Mahatama' that one could never utter (in public or private) in now being publicly bandied about with naysayers having crawled back under the rocks.
The 'Other Invader's' black deeds are also being called out (earlier one was drip fed on the perfidy of the British but how great the Mughals were).
Interesting to see things like Indian Caliphate etc being propped up by the usual suspects like the in-bred Pakistani descent British Muslims, Pee Pee See , the Wire and the Ecosystem. But the amount of dirty linen being washed and dirt being exposed is humungous even for the usual suspects to attempt Dry Cleaning.
Various things like oh the Indian Muslim are not like that, we are a more syncretic society, the South Indian Muslim are well inegrated yada yada were and are still propped up.
History is such a good teacher (yes a History written by a Victor is always a bit jaundiced) albeit all the above mentioned attempts things are tumbling out.
Goes to show, how when you are in power you can do things in a most subtle way and still can achieve far reaching consequences.
In that regard the present dispensation has set in motion various wheels which are definitely causing serious manthan in the society. ( not like the crass clarion call of Direct Action).
I wish and this is my sincere hope that in the same fashion, the results of the Provincial Elections of 1937 and 1946 be mainstreamed. This would call out those yobs who keep bandying such words as Indian Muslims are different, our people scarificied for this country's independence etc and also the role of the main Protogonists in the Post Independence India and why large section who voted for a separate country yet were allowed to stay back or kept back??
I know this would lead another round of Gade huwain Murdoon kho phir say Udak rahein hain, mainstreaming islamophobia etc.
But I belief unless you know your past (deeds and crimes) you will neither forgive or forget and move forwards.
One drawback i could perceive in this task, is the roie of Pakistan?? would they be able to garner the support of the disenchanted or those with an axe to grind by saying We said so in 1940's see and hence asked for a separate nation ( You can nver trust a Hindu)
Will it lead to another partition, Hmm I seriously doubt that. Given the perilious state of the majority of the Muslim Nations(barring thge Oil Rich states),
