Madras HC Labels Udhayanidhi’s Sanatana Remarks As Hate Speech; Major Win for Amit Malviya | News18
Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court quashed the FIR against BJP leader Amit Malviya, while simultaneously labeling Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments on Sanatana Dharma as "hate speech." Justice S. Srimathy observed that the call for the "eradication" of a faith followed by 80% of the population could be interpreted as a call for genocide, justifying Malviya’s sharp response as a defense of his beliefs.

Can India Become the Third Largest Economy in the World?
Growing at 6.5%, India is the fastest-growing major economy in a sluggish global landscape, driven by infrastructure investment, a digital revolution and an expanding manufacturing base. Yet beneath the momentum lie persistent structural challenges: employment gaps, fiscal pressures and uneven productivity, compounded by rising trade tensions.

Can India harness this growth, investment, and innovation to sustain its trajectory?

The likes of Vidya Balan - and there are many with similar world of view of ‘we did not have a religious identity before or were so polarised’. Seen such in advertising agencies. They have convinced themselves that it was all communal harmony earlier and things changed in 2014. It’s not as if they’d be unaware of partition, numerous riots, how Pandits were made to flee from Kashmir, the demographic changes in border districts & parts of Kerala, TN & AP, 26/11 Mumbai attack - so much more. They refuse to see the problem in the eye. At the core is their own lack of ‘connect’ with Hindu faith, having been deracinated through education and influence of popular culture. They get all reverential with faith of minorities and call for respectful treatment (which is right) but would deny the same to a practicing Hindu. Someone keeping roza or lent would be respected but Ekadasi fasting will be mocked or labelled regressive, a bhakt or bigot. On polarisation I will admit that the rise of social media and more access to extreme view points (which were always there) through various platforms 24x7 makes it appear that this is a new found thing, different from the land of milk & honey prior to 2014.
