This is an excellent opportunity for MDL to take over the reliance yard and move part of its shipbuilding to this yard. We can compress dilivever schedule for the big fat order book that MDL has.

I don't think that nomination of PSU yard's by mod will be a problem. As long as the MOD can say that the L1 Pvt yard will work on the prices quoted by PSU yard. PS.Look at the Visby class multi-role Swedish stealth corvettes.They're only 640t and have an open helo deck. Their armament includes anti-ship missiles, SAMs, torpedoes, capable of mine warfare,etc.That is a design to emulate. Really, how is the presence of the RBU helping the RCS of Indian ships.
