It is a collasal waste of money, by going for exotic and unnecessary feature, when Army keeps complaining about shortage of money. Soldiers will be better served with smart and functional weapons than with exotic and rarely used feature products.

Tejas planned (324) - 20 squadron at 16/S
Su-MKI - (274) - 16 plus squadron, get 2 more squadron + upgrade.
Rafale - (36 + 36) = 4 squadron.

In the video all the cables are using same color tape. it would be nice to use color coded tapes to reduce error and make it easier on the assembly Engineers. In fact they should use colored cables too. Hope this is introduced with Mk1A. I am sure this will bring down the maintainance time as well....

They showed the cockpit, mentioned it to be the most advanced among all the fighters that IAF flies today. the m2k was the basis and inspiration for LCA, that had analog controls, Tejas is completely digital.

zeenews has a show on Tejas, it is currently on. The recording was done a day before sp-9 flight, they show the building of sp10 in the same hanger.
the empty weight mentioned is 6.5t and weapon 3.5t. 10 month to build one plane from start to handover.
12000 total parts to assemble.
